Beautiful student, Greta (Keira Knightley) and Dave (Adam Levine) is a pair of lovers who are adept writing songs. When Dave was awarded a contract from a record company, they decided to move to New York.
Along uphill career, Dave chose to sever his relationship with Greta. Disappointed with Dave, Greta chose to return to England.
Before going home, Greta met with Dan (Mark Ruffalo), a producer who has just been fired by his office. And turned out to see the talent that exists within Greta. Both decided to be together and give a different musical concept.
